5 tips for healthier hair

Hey pretty people!
First of all, thank you to everyone of you for your everlasting support and love.. ya’ll are what let’s me shine and use my creative ability as a career (even tho it’s so much more than that).

I wanted to give you some basic tips on how to keep your hair healthy, strong, and growing!

✨5 Tips for healthy hair✨

1. Use a masque or deep conditioning treatment weekly.
☝🏼Pro Tip: ☝🏼Spray your hair generously with water (I tell my clients to buy a $1 spray bottle from target or dollar tree) BEFORE getting in the shower, then apply a mask and brush through your hair. Then do whatever you need to do for 10mins - an hour, and then get in the shower and shampoo and condition as normal.
This way you don’t have to get in the shower, wet your hair, put a treatment on, get out of the shower, and then later get back in. So much easier!

2. Use a wet brush and brush starting from the bottom of your hair, working your way up.
This way you will get out tangles with less breakage and much quicker! Wet brushes are an absolute game changer for EVERYONE! They pull out way less hair and are much more gentle.

3. Get a trim every three months.
This one is pretty straight forward. Cut off those crispy ends so your hair won’t split from the bottom and break off. And it doesn’t need to be a ton of hair, just do a baby trim / dusting. I guarantee you’ll notice a difference in your hairs overall texture.

4. Don’t put shampoo on your ends, and don’t put conditioner on your scalp. 🙌🏼
You’d be surprised how many people shampoo their entire head of hair and also condition their entire head of hair.
Shampoo is designed for your SCALP- to remove excess oil & buildup. Conditioner is designed to help seal the cuticle and smooth your ends! You don’t need to over do it ya’ll.
(Remember to THROUGHLY rinse shampoo out - especially if you’re sing something like Olaplex shampoo, it’s super thiqq and can cause build up if you aren’t rinsing it all out).

5. Turn down the hot tools for gods sake 🥵 You definitely do not need to be styling with hot tools over 390 degrees. TRUST ME. 350-390 is completely fine and will give you the same look without FRYING your hair.
